Why Michelle Overseas?
After spending years in the U.S. advocating for others, I realized it was time to take a leap of my own. As a woman over 50, I’m embracing a new life abroad, teaching English, immersing myself in different cultures, and pushing the limits of what’s possible at this stage in life. Michelle Overseas is here to document that journey—the lessons, the challenges, and the incredible people I meet along the way.
This blog exists to do three things:
- Break Barriers – Whether it’s the idea that starting over has an age limit or that trans people can’t thrive abroad, I’m here to prove otherwise.
